Arabesque® Red is a striking F1 hybrid penstemon and a 2014 All-America Selections Flower Award Winner. From early summer on, it produces tall spikes crowded with large, bell-shaped flowers in a vivid red-and-white bicolor that hummingbirds and butterflies can’t resist.

A standout in beds and pots

Its upright habit and continuous bloom make it equally at home in a sunny border or a container on the patio. The big, tubular flowers are perfectly shaped for hummingbird visits all season.

Care tips

Grow it in full sun and deadhead spent spikes to keep the flowers coming. With regular grooming it stays in bloom right through summer.

Pruning
Maintenance: deadhead spent spikes through summer to keep the flowers coming, then cut the old stems back in early spring once hard frost has passed. It's a tender, short-lived perennial only marginally hardy in our zone 6B winters, so it's best refreshed by replanting or division.
