Veronica Magic Show® ‘Pink Potion’ is a compact spiked speedwell that forms a broad, mounding clump densely covered in upright spikes of clear baby-pink flowers. It spreads a bit wider than it grows tall, giving it a full, rounded silhouette that works well massed along a border edge.
A long, soft-pink bloom season
Flowering runs from early into midsummer and is unusually long-lasting for the genus, especially with regular deadheading of spent spikes. Bees and butterflies are frequent visitors throughout the bloom period.
Care tips
Plant in full sun and average, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter; some afternoon shade is tolerated but flowering will be lighter. Keep soil evenly moist without letting it stay soggy, and avoid overhead watering to reduce the risk of powdery mildew. Deadhead through the season, feed with a slow-release fertilizer in spring, and cut the clump back in late fall or early spring. Deer and salt tend not to bother it, making it a reliable choice for exposed or roadside borders.
